Took off for a 5 day weekend to visit my best friend up in Vancouver BC for her birthday! Arrived early afternoon on Friday and ventured solo to the Capilano Suspension bridge park. It did not disappoint!
With a promise of rain and stormy weather Jenn discouraged me but upon my arrival the rain had let up and I jumped at the window of opportunity. Caught the free shuttle out to the rainforest and spent a couple hours exploring the park.
I enjoyed all of the historic totem poles and reading the history of the bridge, I can't imagine crossing it back then! Wow! Along with the suspension bridge, also featured is the cliff walk, and a treetop adventure!
These pictures do not due it justice as the bridge looms 230ft above the raging river and suspends 460ft long. You feel it swaying and bobbing as you cross.
